Ngayuk College welcomes expressions of interest from community groups, sporting organisations and local clubs seeking regular access to College facilities outside of school hours.
As a community-focused school, we are committed to supporting opportunities that promote participation, wellbeing, inclusion and community connection, while ensuring that school operations, student safety and College priorities remain paramount.
Court 1 – full-size indoor basketball court

Courts may be hired individually or together
Modern amenities and spectator seating
Suitable for basketball, volleyball, netball, badminton and other approved indoor activities
School oval suitable for approved outdoor sporting, training and recreational activities
Oval use is subject to weather, ground condition, maintenance requirements and College priorities
Expressions of Interest will be considered only for regular or recurring community use, such as weekly, term-based or seasonal bookings. One-off events and single-session bookings will not be considered through this EOI process.
College facilities may only be used for approved educational, recreational, sporting or cultural activities that support students, young people or the local community.
All proposed activities must be appropriate for a school setting and comply with relevant Department of Education requirements, Child Safe Standards, College policies and risk-management expectations.
Facilities are generally available for approved community use during the following times:
Weekdays
Monday to Friday: 4:30pm – 9:30pm
Weekends
Saturday and Sunday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Availability may vary due to school events, maintenance requirements, weather or ground conditions, and College priorities. Specific availability will be confirmed as part of the assessment process.
Facility Cost
Court 1 - $50 per hour
Court 2 - $50 per hour
Courts 1 and 2 (entire gymnasium) -$100 per hour
School Oval
Additional charges may apply for specialised requirements, extended access, cleaning, utilities or staffing arrangements.
Community groups interested in regular use of a College facility are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). Submission of an EOI does not guarantee access or approval.

School Council will review applications considering:
Whether the proposed use is regular or recurring and meets the eligibility requirements of this EOI
Alignment with community values and educational priorities
Suitability of the activity and facility requested
Availability of facilities
Impact on school operations and the local community
Compliance with Department of Education and College requirements
Child safety, supervision and Working with Children Check arrangements, where applicable
Evidence of minimum $20 million Public Liability Insurance and other risk-management considerations
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to attend a meeting and site inspection to discuss:
Proposed use of the facility
Operational and supervision requirements
Access arrangements
Facility-specific requirements, including protection of the oval or gymnasium surfaces
Conditions of use and risk-management expectations
Successful applicants will be required to:
Enter into the appropriate formal School Council agreement for the approved arrangement
Provide and maintain evidence of current Public Liability Insurance with a minimum cover of $20 million for the full period of use
Meet all Working with Children Check and Child Safe requirements that apply to the activity
Comply with all College policies, Department of Education requirements and conditions of use
Nominate a responsible supervisor for every session
All approved users must:
Use the facility only for the activity and times approved by the College
Respect College facilities, equipment and grounds
Ensure participants remain within approved areas
Leave facilities clean and tidy after use
Supervise participants at all times
Comply with Child Safe Standards and applicable Working with Children Check requirements
Follow all emergency, evacuation, access and security procedures
Report any incidents, damage or safety concerns immediately
Comply with any facility-specific directions, including restrictions arising from maintenance, weather or ground conditions
The College reserves the right to refuse, suspend or discontinue facility use where conditions are not met or where the facility is required for school purposes.

Submission of an Expression of Interest does not guarantee access to a facility. Applications will be assessed by School Council based on eligibility, suitability, availability, risk management and alignment with College requirements.
